Assistant Religious Education Coordinator

  • Commencing Term 2, 2023 or upon negotiation
  • Permanent teaching role, 3-year Coordinator role (1 point)

Applications are invited from teachers who are willing and able to share in the leadership of the Religious Education Department. The Assistant Religious Education Coordinator has a focused responsibility on assisting with the planning of teaching and learning across all stages in secondary Religious Education.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong knowledge of Religious Education pedagogy and knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum
  • The ability to assist the Head of Religious Education in all aspects of curriculum development and implementation
  • Ability to share responsibility for the vision, mission and strategic priorities of a school
  • Contribute to driving a school culture which imbeds the ethos and values of its charism
  • An understanding of contemporary learning theory and practice
  • A demonstrated ability in building professional relationships and working in collaboration with colleagues
  • An understanding of appropriate behaviours and professional boundaries that reflect child safeguarding values in practice
