Year 10 Spirituality Day
Last week we welcomed staff and students from St Scholastica’s College Glebe for the first of our annual joint-celebrations. Now in its third year, the Spirituality Day offers an opportunity for our schools to come together in prayer, raise funds and awareness for the plight of refugees, and foster social interaction.
To mark World Refugee Day, students participated in workshops led by local organisations—Vinnies, House of Welcome, and the Asylum Seekers Centre—where they heard first hand stories from refugees and learned about ways to support those in need. Through discussion, generous donations, and engagement, students lived out the message from the morning’s Liturgy: “To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God” – Micah 6:6–8.
