ALFA Football, in partnership with Inter Academy Sydney, provides a football development program based on the world-renowned Inter training methodology. With a strong focus on both player development and personal growth, the program supports students in building their football ability, character, discipline and leadership.

Through the Inter Academy network, CBHS Lewisham players have access to Inter’s world-class training standards and coaching philosophy. Our full-time UEFA-licensed coaches, trained in the Inter methodology, provide a structured, supportive environment that helps students succeed both on the field and in the classroom.

The program is open to all CBHS Lewisham students in Years 5 to 12, as well as students who have accepted an offer of enrolment and will commence within the next two years.

The ALFA Football Program offers three distinct pathways to suit different levels of experience, ambition and commitment.

Elite Squads

Designed for players seeking a high-performance football environment.

• Registration and trials take place in early September.
• Students attend three training sessions per week.
• Teams play under Sydney Uni SFC on weekends.
• Players train under the Inter Academy Sydney methodology with full-time UEFA-licensed coaches.

Social Squads

Designed for students who enjoy competitive football while maintaining flexibility for other commitments.

• Registration takes place in early September.
• Students attend one training session per week.
• Teams play under Sydney Uni SFC on weekends.
• Players train under the Inter Academy Sydney methodology with full-time UEFA-licensed coaches.

Development Squads

Designed for players of all abilities, from beginners through to advanced players.

• Registration required before the start of each school term.
• Players are grouped by age and ability, from absolute beginners through to JDL and Youth League pathways.
• Families can choose how many sessions their son attends each week.
• Students remain free to play for their local club on weekends.

Convenient After-School Training

Regardless of the pathway chosen, our UEFA-licensed coaches run all training sessions immediately after school. Students move directly from class to training, eliminating the need for families to coordinate transport to afternoon sessions.

Parents simply collect their son from the training venue at the conclusion of training, making it easier to balance football, family and academic commitments

Inter Academy Sydney Holiday Camps

In addition to the ALFA Football Program, CBHS Lewisham students have access to Inter Academy Sydney Holiday Camps. These camps are open to both CBHS Lewisham students and the wider football community.

Inter Milan Academy Coach Valerio Ringoli, direct from Milan, will lead the spring holiday camps, supported by our UEFA B-licensed Inter Academy Sydney coaching team. This is a rare opportunity to train the Inter way at our Inner West and Gymea camps these holidays.
