For over 130 years, Christian Brothers Lewisham has been a leading Catholic boys’ school dedicated to excellence in education and the holistic development of young men.

With a strong emphasis on faith, leadership and community, we nurture confident, compassionate young men equipped to thrive in a changing world.

Year 5 is the main intake year at Christian Brothers Lewisham, with five classes enrolled annually. An additional, smaller intake occurs in Year 7, with two classes enrolled each year.

We welcome enrolment enquiries for other year groups, including Year 6. However, places are generally only available when a current student leaves and a vacancy arises.

Enrolment Dates

2027

Spaces across all year groups are limited, and most cohorts have waitlists. Entry into the senior years is also subject to subject availability. To proceed with an enrolment enquiry, please email the following documents and information to enrolments@cbhslewisham.nsw.edu.au. Our Enrolments Team will then guide you through the next steps.

• Child’s name
• Intended year group in 2027
• Reason for leaving current school
• Semester 2, 2025 report card
• Semester 1, 2026 report card
• Most recent NAPLAN results
• Baptism certificate (if applicable)
• Individual Learning Plan (if applicable)
• Whether the child is the son or grandson of an Old Boy (please provide name and graduation year)
• 2027 subject selections (Years 9-12 only)

Please note the Enrolments Office closes during school holidays. To ensure your son’s enrolment enquiry is reviewed promptly, please submit all documentation at least two weeks before the end of the school term. We will review requests received after this time, or during school holidays, once staff return the following term.

Enrolment applications for 2029 are now open.

Enrolment applications will close on Friday, 2 April 2027. We will invite all applicants to attend an interview in Term 2, 2027 and will advise families of the outcome of their application during the final week of Term 2, 2027.

2030 & Beyond

Families considering enrolment for 2030 and beyond are encouraged to register their son’s details via the Expression of Interest form here or register for our Open Day here. This ensures you receive updates about enrolment application opening dates and key enrolment milestones for your son’s cohort.

Enrolment Process 

1. Complete the Expression of Interest form
This form starts your enrolment journey and ensures you receive updates on key dates, events, and information for your proposed cohort. You can submit an expression of interest at any time from birth onward, and it is free of charge.

2. An Enrolment Application will be sent to you to complete.
Enrolment Applications are emailed to all families who have completed an Expression of Interest form approximately two years before the student’s proposed commencement date. The enrolment form has a $100 non-refundable fee and does not guarantee placement. The following documentation must be provided with the application:

• Birth Certificate
• Most Recent School Report
• Most Recent NAPLAN Results
• Immunisation records

If applicable, any reports or plans for academic, medical, physical, social or emotional support your son currently receives will also be required.

3. Invitation to Interview for Enrolment
Once you submit and we review the enrolment forms, you will receive an interview invitation. The interview helps ensure parents’ expectations and students’ needs align with the school’s values and offerings, and that the school can meet those expectations and needs. However, an interview does not guarantee placement.

4. Enrolment Outcome communicated to family
Successful applicants will receive an Offer of Enrolment, including a non-refundable, non-transferable fee. Once accepted, families will be informed of Orientation dates in Term 2 the year before commencement. Unsuccessful applications will be placed on the waitlist. If space becomes available, we will prioritise them in accordance with our Considerations for Enrolment, as outlined in our Enrolment Policy.
