FAQs
Is CBHS Lewisham a selective school?
No, we are a proudly comprehensive school. We believe in supporting every boy to achieve his potential, regardless of his academic level. Our recent HSC results placed us as one of the strongest Catholic boys’ schools in Sydney, and our academic achievements year on year make us a highly sought after school.
Our Aquinas High Potential Classes cater to academically gifted students by condensing the core curriculum, allowing us to provide opportunities for extension and enrichment activities. More information on the Aquinas Program can be found here
What is the enrolment process?
If you are interested in enrolling your son at Christian Brothers’ High School Lewisham, please complete an Expression of Interest to begin the process. We offer every applicant an interview, and we will contact you two years before his proposed commencement to request further information and arrange a suitable interview time. If the interview is successful, we will confirm your offer in writing, and you will need to respond within a set period to confirm your place.
Read the Enrolment Process here.
What documents does the school require?
After you submit an Expression of Interest form, we will ask you to complete an Enrolment Form approximately two years before the child is due to commence. You will be asked to include documents such as a copy of their birth certificate, completed vaccination schedule, latest school report, NAPLAN results, any relevant medical information, plus his baptismal or confirmation certificate (if applicable).
Why can’t I find CBHS Lewisham on Compass to enrol?
CBHS Lewisham is an independent Catholic school and is not part of the Sydney Catholic Schools network. As a result, our enrolments are not managed through Compass. All applications are submitted directly through our website here

While we do not offer before and after school care, students are supervised on the playground from 8 am each day. In the afternoon, our library, the Waterford Learning Centre, offers supervised study and reading on selected days until 5:30 pm.
Each term, several extracurricular activities are available on-site after school for all students. Currently, these activities include Music Ensembles and Bands, the ALFA Football program, Code Camp, and the Sydney Basketball Academy.
