OUR CURRENT CAMP SCHEDULE

Year 5

A three-day camp to Milson Island during Term 1 is a chance for the new students to get to know each other while enjoying outdoor activities such a kayaking, boat building, archery and swimming.

Year 6

Students enjoy a three-day camp to our CBHS Retreat Centre, Workul Koo, in Terrigal on the NSW Central Coast.

Set on the beach, the retreat is a chance to get to know each other for the year ahead, reflect on their own personal journey and to set goals for themselves for the year. They also enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, ten pin bowling, table tennis and many beach activities.

Year 7

The Year 7 Camp is an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a Lewisham student. With new boys starting and the official transition to high school underway, it is a chance for the boys to bond over abseiling, rock climbing, canoeing, orienteering and fishing.

Year 8

The Year 8 “Rubicon” Experience at Terrigal is our middle school Spirituality and Formation Program.

Each year the boys take part in this 4 day, specially designed program. It is both a spiritual and beach focussed outdoor education experience, to discover more about themselves, their relationships with others and their relationship with God.

Year 9

The Year 9 Camp program takes the boys out of their comfort zone and places them in a more traditional ‘camp’ setting. The boys will be sleeping in tents and learning to cater for themselves in an outdoor environment. This setting provides a great opportunity for personal and peer group growth, as the boys build resilience as they overcome challenges together.

Year 11

At the beginning of Term 4, all Year 11 students participate in a three-day retreat in Stanwell Tops, Wollongong.

This is an ideal opportunity for quiet reflection as well as group sessions and recreational activities, designed for the boys to have the opportunity to rest and refocus before they embark on their HSC courses in Term 4. The retreat is facilitated by CBHS staff, and the outdoor components are facilitated by trained staff from the venue.
