CBHS is proud to be the exclusive Australian affiliate of the Italian Serie A club and the 2024 UEFA Europa League Champions, Atalanta BC. 

The Atalanta Lewisham Football Affiliation (ALFA) offers a genuine football pathway with top-tier coaching and continuous player development, nurturing students’ talent both on and off the field. The program, available from Year 5, is delivered within the school environment for added convenience. Our full-time coaches, trained in the Atalanta BC methodology, mentor players in a focused developmental setting, supporting their sporting and academic success.

ALFA programs are open to CBHS students from Years 5–12, with options for Elite Squads and Development Sessions.

All students at CBHS Lewisham are eligible for the programs currently on offer:

Elite Squad

• Students must register and trial to be selected in the Elite Squads. 
• Students attend three training sessions per week.
• Training takes place two afternoons a week from 3.45–5pm plus Thursday
  during school sport.
• ALFA teams will play for an affiliate club on the weekend, based on age & abilities.
• From Year 7, students play in the CBHS teams during school sport in Term 2. 

Development Sessions

• Students must register 2-3 weeks before the start of each term.
• Players will be grouped based on ability, no trialling or prior experience needed.
• Students choose 1 or 2 training sessions per week.
• Sessions are run from 3.45–5pm on preferred days.
• Students are free to play with their local club on the weekend.

Camps

ALFA also offers Camps during the school holidays including one conducted by Atalanta Coaches coming especially from Italy. Exclusively instructing CBHS students and coaches, also gives Atalanta the opportunity to scout for future players. 

A Futsal Camp is also offered once a year during the holidays where students form teams and compete to be the annual Lewisham Futsal Champions.

Regardless of the program you pick, all ALFA Training sessions will take place during or straight after school, providing flexibility and support for students and families to balance football and school commitments.
