ALFA Football, in partnership with Inter Academy Sydney, offers a football development programme based on the Inter training methodology, with a strong focus on our students’ personal growth.

Joining the Inter Academy network gives CBHS Lewisham players and coaches the chance to develop using Inter’s world-class training standards, nurturing students’ talent both on and off the field. Available from Year 5, the program is delivered within the school environment for added convenience. Our full-time UEFA-licensed coaches, trained in the Inter training methodology, mentor players in a focused developmental setting and support their success in both sports and academics.

This program has three distinct pathways and is open to all CBHS Lewisham students in Years 5 to 12, as well as those who have accepted an offer of enrolment within the next two years.

Elite Squads

• Students must register and try out each September to be selected for the Elite Squads. 
• Students attend three training sessions per week. Our UEFA-licensed coaches take the boys straight from school, and you pick them up from the park at 5 pm
• Elite Squads will play for Sydney Uni SFC on weekends, based on age and ability.
• From Year 7, students play in the CBHS teams during Thursday sport

Social Squads

• Students must register each September for the Social Squads. 
• Students attend one training session per week. Our UEFA-licensed coaches take the boys straight from school, and you pick them up from the park at 5 pm
• Social Squads will play for Sydney Uni SFC on weekends, based on age and ability.
• From Year 7, students play in the CBHS teams during Thursday sport

Development Squads

• Students register two weeks before the start of each term, no trial is necessary
• Players will be grouped based on their ability, from absolute beginners to JDL and Youth League options
• Families choose how many sessions per week
• Our UEFA-licensed coaches take the boys straight from school, and you pick them up from the park at 5 pm
• Students are free to play with their local club on the weekend.

Regardless of the program you choose, all training sessions will take place during or immediately after school, so parents don’t have to worry about getting their boys to training. This gives students and families flexibility and support to balance football, family and school commitments. 

Camps

ALFA also offers Camps during the school holidays, with our dedicated coaches. Additionally, scouts from Italy attend the camps to identify future players.

Inter Milan Academy Coach Valerio Ringoli, direct from Milan, will lead the spring holiday programs, supported by our UEFA B-licensed Inter Academy Sydney coaching team. This is a rare opportunity to train the Inter way at our Inner West and Gymea camps these holidays.
