School Counsellor

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced School Counsellor to join our Pastoral care team on a permanent, full time basis. In this role, you will work closely with students to ensure their emotional, social and wellbeing needs are being met. You will provide support to teaching staff as well as families on how to best support these students.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide support and professional advice to students in the areas of wellbeing and mental health
  • Support teachers and families by providing them an understanding of student mental health concerns and strategies to assist these students’ in their overall development
  • Assess and refer students to specialist agencies for clinical, therapeutic, medical diagnosis and treatment.

About you:

  • You have recognised qualifications in Counselling, Psychology or Social Work
  • You have experience in working with children and/or adolescents and their families to address various mental health, developmental and learning concerns.
  • Ability to implement evidence based intervention strategies
  • Ability to triage based on need and urgency
  • You possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills and able to liaise with a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation, time management and record keeping skills
  • You’re interested in helping meet the educational and wellbeing needs of young men
  • You are willing to support the Catholic ethos of the School

Secondary Teacher  – TAS

 

  • Full time, permanent role
  • Position to commence Term 2
  • Access to an additional week of school holidays in Term 3!

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Teachers who have the capacity to teach secondary TAS including Timber. We are looking for an educator who is able to build connections between the curriculum and the classroom through engaging and innovative teaching practice.

About You

  • You have suitable qualifications to teach TAS (Stages 4-6)
  • You have a strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy
  • You have current knowledge of the NESA curriculum in your area of teaching expertise
  • You possess demonstrated evidence of excellence as a classroom teacher with an ongoing commitment to your own professional learning

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic individual to join our Secondary school English team, with the ability to also teach RE, commencing in Term 2, 2022. We are looking for an educator who is able to build connections between the curriculum and the classroom through engaging and innovative teaching practice.

  • You have the ability to teach Religious Education
  • You have a strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogy
  • You have current knowledge of the NESA curriculum in your area of teaching expertise
