Learning Support Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Officer to join our Diverse Learning team. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside Learning Support Teachers to provide meaningful support to students across Years 5–12 with additional learning needs.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone currently studying to become a primary or secondary teacher, or an individual with relevant experience in education support who is passionate about making a difference.

About You

  • Currently studying (or qualified) in education or education support.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine interest in supporting the learning and wellbeing of young men.
  • Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.

About the Role

  • 12 month appointment, part time 
  • Suitable for students currently studying education to gain valuable school-based experience.
  • Support students with learning difficulties both in and out of the classroom.
  • Deliver small group academic support and assist in running targeted literacy and numeracy programs.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Diverse Learning team.
  • Supervise students with additional learning needs and small groups during exams.
