ALFA Football, in partnership with Inter Academy Sydney, offers a football development programme based on the Inter training methodology, with a strong focus on our students’ personal growth.

ALFA Football joining the Inter Academy network gives CBHS Lewisham players and coaches the chance to develop using Inter’s world-class training standards, nurturing students’ talent both on and off the field. The program, available from Year 5, is delivered within the school environment for added convenience. Our full-time coaches, trained in the Inter training methodology, mentor players in a focused developmental setting, supporting their success in both sports and academics.

This program is open to CBHS students from Years 5 to 12, with options for Squads and Development Sessions.

All students at CBHS Lewisham are eligible for the programs currently on offer:

Squads

• Students must register and try out to be selected for the Squads. 
• Students attend three training sessions per week.
• Training takes place twice a week from 3:45–5:00 pm, plus Thursday during school sports.
• ALFA Elite Squads will play for our affiliate club on weekends, based on age and ability.
• From Year 7, students play in the CBHS teams during school sport in Term 2. 

Development Sessions

• Students must register 2-3 weeks before the start of each term.
• Players will be grouped based on their ability, no prior trial or experience is required.
• Students choose 1 or 2 training sessions per week.
• Sessions are run from 3:45–5:00 pm on preferred days.
• Students are free to play with their local club on the weekend.

Camps

Alfa also offers Camps during the school holidays, with our dedicated coaches. Additionally, scouts from Italy attend the camps to identify future players.

A Futsal Camp is also offered once a year during the holidays, where students form teams and compete to be the annual Lewisham Futsal Champions.

Regardless of the program you choose, all Alfa training sessions will take place during or immediately after school, so parents don’t have to worry about getting their boys to training. This provides flexibility and support for students and families to balance football and school commitments.
