Learning Support Officer

  • Commencing ASAP or by negotiation
  • Temporary role until the end of the 2025 school year
  • Work Monday to Friday, during school term time (33 hours per week)

Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham is an independent Catholic School in the Edmund Rice tradition catering for 1,250 boys from Years 5-12. We understand the unique learning needs of boys and supports each student on their own journey. As a non-selective school we are committed to providing quality education to all students.

We are looking for a Learning Support Officer to join our Diverse Learning team. In this role, you will collaborate with Learning Support Teachers to provide exceptional support to students across Years 5-12 with additional learning needs. This is a temporary role until the end of the 2025 school year.

In this role you will:

  • ​Provide practical assistance to support the learning of students with learning difficulties in and out of the classroom environment
  • Deliver small group academic support to students through the running of targeted courses
  • Assist the Diverse Learning Department with general administration duties
  • Supervise students with additional learning needs

About you:

  • You are suitably experienced or qualified in Education Support
  • You have experience in the delivery of MultiLit programs (preferred)
  • You possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • You are interested in helping meet the educational and wellbeing needs of young men
  • You are willing to support the Catholic ethos of the School
